Extinguishing The Myth of Donald Trump as King David
A nation founded on the premise of no kings is making itself heard against the man who wants to be king.
There are over 2000 protests taking place across the country today, aimed at telling this fascist government with its wannabe king, Donald of Orange, that we are not a nation of monarchical rule, where he can wave his hand and do as he pleases.
This week has featured California Senator Alex Padilla being arrested by ICE goons for daring to ask ICE Barbie a question at her press conference, a press conference held in his own state; the Marines sent to Los Angeles by Drunky McDefense arresting a US Army veteran simply trying to go to his VA meeting; a sheriff in Florida threatening to murder protestors for so much as spitting on a cop; and sadly, this morning, two progressive Minnesota lawmakers and their spouses shot—two dead, two in surgery. ”The suspect was dressed like a uniformed officer and operating a vehicle that “looked exactly like an SUV squad car. It was equipped with lights, emergency lights and looked exactly like a police vehicle,” [Brooklyn Park, MN police chief Mark] Bruley said. It makes one wonder quite naturally, of course, that if he had all of those things, isn’t he just a police officer?
And the reason that we have to now fear those in uniform is because Donald of Orange unleashed the American Gestapo known as ICE on the streets of America, attempting to kidnap children from schools, literally ripping babies out of the arms of their mothers as they take them away, looking for anyone with brown skin they can arrest, citizenship be damned. Trump did so while allowing them to not wear uniforms, not wear easily recognizable tactical gear, no badges, with masks over their faces. He created the sort of circumstances where no uniforms became more suspect than ever, so someone with a uniform was poised to inflict maximum damage.
Because the shooter had flyers for today’s No Kings protests, all of the Minnesota protests have been cancelled, which gives this violent fascist, this political assassin, the win they were craving. He created an atmosphere of fear and silenced hundreds of thousands of people who wanted to protest Donald of Orange’s authoritarian, unconstitutional rule and his stupid military parade for his birthday and everything that flies in the face of our proclaimed principles. We cannot and we must not flinch in the face of violence. Leaders who call out military forces to crush dissent are afraid. They are weak. They are undeserving of deference.
On that note, I would be remiss if I didn’t use this opportunity to address one of the most annoying, grotesque caricatures of Donald of Orange that have been used by right-wing Christians to justify supporting him: the idea that he is a modern-day King David, who killed his best friend so he could sleep with his wife. These were blatant violations of several of God’s Ten Commandments: adultery, murder, coveting your neighbor’s wife. David did great things and also committed horrible crimes, but he is held up as a model for “God using flawed people.”
Donald of Orange has not done anything great. He has made American smaller, weaker, poorer, more hated by the world, more divided than ever before, and on the verge of forever destroying the Great Experiment of a nation that can bind together many races, ethnicities, and religious beliefs under one banner. A nation that would not be classist, where your origins didn’t matter, that did not anoint kings and queens and hand out knighthoods. Nothing, not one single thing under Donald Trump’s five combined years as president, has occurred that would be lauded under the Christian principles that his most fervent defenders claim to hold.
God is not using Donald Trump, if you’re a Christian that bothered to properly read the Bible. God is not using this man for anything, because his very being is anathema to Christian beliefs. He refuses to apologize for anything. He never accepts responsibility for his failures. He does not pray for forgiveness because he says he does nothing wrong. He is the leader of a delusional cult who confuses him with Jesus Christ because they are so desperate to be ruled by a strongman that they will subvert their logic, their reason, their faith, their principles, and their very self-worth so Donald of Orange can point them in a direction and tell them what to do. He tells them who to hate. He tells them who to attack. He tells them who is worthy of human decency, and who should be treated worse than a wild dog. He tells them who to jail, who to assault, who to fear. He is responsible for the violence in our streets. He is responsible for two dead people in Minnesota because he provided everything the shooter needed.
Donald of Orange is not a king, despite his delusions and pretensions, because America does not have a king and we never will, so long as we fight for that belief. I pray for the safety of everyone marching today against the evil regime in power, and that those who warped Christianity to support this evil reap everything they’ve sowed.
NO KINGS IN AMERICA.

Great opening line....straight shot!
